Twenty-eight days / Marta Cortés Rius / Spain / 15 min

Aida is on a trip through Latin America during twenty-eight days. I film her and through her and our conversations, I realize all the different moods we experience during the menstrual cycle, everyone of them indispensable and cyclical.

Marta Cortés Rius

Graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and Post Graduated in Film and TV Script at the Barcelona Scriptwriters Workshop (Taller de Guionistas de Barcelona).

In the last seven years she has worked as a scriptwriter for commercials and brand videos for production companies and agencies such as 023, Helman Creative Agency, BCNscience and as a ​​script analyst of feature films and TV series at Filmarket Hub. She has co-written the TV series “Liquid Gold” that has won the Movistar+ Novel Talent contest and it is currently in development with Mayo Films.

As a director, she has developed the short film «Pure Love» within the framework of the Laboratory of Audiovisual Creation of the Cerdanya Film Festival and is currently developing the documentary «In Transit» as the final project of the MA Documentary Production at the University of the West of England (Bristol).

Through LaBonne’s I Feminist Laboratory of Documentary Creation, she launched the project «Twenty-eight days» which is currently in the distribution phase.
